Looking ahead to 2021


This year certainly brought its challenges, but it also pushed us at Alvarez Construction to do more of what we do best: build safe and strong communities for our neighbors in Baton Rouge. That work included breaking ground on a handful of new communities -- three of which we are about ready to start selling -- and welcoming hundreds of new residents to their dream homes. 

Now, we are ready to start looking ahead to 2021 and the innovation we hope to bring to the market. Read about some of these new developments below.

Woodstock Park

Located off Highway 30 in South Baton Rouge, Woodstock Park will include 213 homesites arranged around a central lake. Scattered green spaces provide a scenic backdrop with winding sidewalks to keep residents active. This community will also offer a private community pool and cabana for residents to enjoy. 

Homes here blend modern and contemporary features with traditional architecture in a new series of floor plans. Exteriors will be marked with sophisticated details like sleek glass lanterns and painted brick. 

Parks at Water Oak

Alvarez Construction is also preparing to move into Gonzalez for the first time with this exclusively built community in Ascension. When designing Parks at Water Oak we prioritized a walkable neighborhood design with sidewalks, a mail center and a small lake in the Northeast corner. Unique new floor plans in this community start at 1,861 square feet with traditional architecture characterized by painted brick exteriors and glass lanterns.

South Creek

This Denham Springs community was designed with families in mind. South Creek features 103 homesites with a community pier, children’s playground and green space that will keep every age group entertained. Plus, it’s convenient location in the heart of Livingston parish provides quick access to area attractions, dining and shopping. South Creek is located on Wax Road near Highway 16 and the Greyston Golf and Country Club. 

Leading technology

In each of these communities we will continue to include the top-of-the-line smart and healthy home technology that buyers have come to expect from us starting with a WiFi-enabled SmartHome management hub and a wireless security system. We also add a WiFi-enabled garage door, wireless smoke and head detectors, a WiF-enabled thermostat and a hospital-grade whole home air filtration system.

Approachable sales processes

Perhaps the biggest lesson we learned this year was in versatility. We trained our staff to answer calls, emails and other inquiries in every way we can to help you find your home on your terms. You can even conduct a remote tour from the comfort of your couch.
