You found the perfect location for your next home. It’s close enough to work and school with a little healthy distance, too. Next, you picked a floor plan that allows you to live and grow for at least a few years. Now, it’s time to make the home your own by sitting down with a designer at our design studio.

This is the time to really let your creative side shine, and, if that is not your strong suit, we will guide you through the entire process. The design studio staff at Alvarez Construction have put together a few simple steps to help you prepare for your meeting to ensure things go as smoothly as possible. 

Do not worry about scheduling.  After you sign your building agreement, we will get you set up with our New Home Design Specialist. If you are curious before then, do not hesitate to request an appointment to visit the design studio. Our designers are your partners from the beginning, helping to perfect your dream home.

Whether you have Pinterest boards, a gallery full of photos on your phone or a collection of magazine clippings, we will take them all! We are here to help you achieve the look that you want! Start your preparation, whenever you are ready, with a sneak peek of the options we provide on the Design Center page. Simply select a category from the gallery or stop by in-person to see them for yourself.  Touring model homes before your design appointment or viewing the Final Product tab on the Design Center page may be helpful in this stage. If you go into option overload, we can help you narrow them down to make the selection process easy.

Once you have your choices narrowed down, it is time to start putting them together to create your whole home. This is where many homebuyers rely on our expert, Tracie, for input. She has worked to decorate more than 200 homes in the last 12 years to put together a winning palette that will remain stylish for years to come. At your design appointment, Tracie will help you to decide which of your favorite finishes will complement each other best in your new home.

Most importantly, this is the time to have some fun. The big decisions are out of the way and now you get to personalize your space. Relax and enjoy the process of choosing finishes that you will love to show off and be comfortable with all year round. 

The best part is that your work is pretty much finished after this step and you can sit back while we start construction. We will keep you updated each step of the way and be here long after you take the keys for any lingering questions.
