The start of the year is the perfect time to re-evaluate the spaces around you. It may mean repainting or refinishing surfaces throughout your home to give it a new look and feel. Or, it could be a more in-depth venture like starting to design a new home in Baton Rouge that better fits your needs. 

For Alvarez Construction Company, that meant building an expansive new Design Center where we can display each one of our interior and exterior selections in a way that was easily digestible as we expand into new cities and communities around the metro. 

The new Design Center is located in Perkins Rowe in late December and New Home Design Specialist Tracie provided a sneak peek for the blog. Once you have signed a contract to build your new home, you will hear from her to schedule your appointment.

The new Design Center is split into individual stations where you can view selections and narrow down your options for each element of a home. This includes flooring, paint colors, and everything in between like cabinetry, backsplashes, countertop finishes, fireplace surrounds, and hardware. 

As you walk in, you will see a pair of fireplaces to your left with the two new mantel styles. Then, there is a kitchenette with floor-to-ceiling cabinets and a countertop where you can start to piece together your perfect entertaining space. A wall beyond that has mirrors framed in different colors and finishes, illuminated by our bathroom vanity lights. 

Across the room, there are display shelves lined with finish samples and a series of desks where our New Home Specialist will sit down and work with you to piece it all together. 

In a recent blog, we detailed the steps you should take leading up to your visit to the Design Center. Our team suggested first gathering your pieces of inspiration like magazine clippings and other photos that will help guide your decision. Then, you should work closely with our specialist to start creating an entire palette for your desired aesthetic. Once this step is complete, our team will get to work creating your dream home.
